Student Council

Student Council is an organization that promotes student leadership, good citizenship, strong work ethic, and positive attitudes.  Student Council encourages positive relationships between teachers and students while also promoting students' relationships with one another.  Student Council is designed to be the "voice" for all students.
 

National Honor Society
Sponsor: Mrs. Sharp

The mission of NHS is to honor students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership, service and character. 

 

FCCLA
Sponsor: Miss Beebe

To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

FFA
Sponsor: Mr. McReynolds

FFA provides the next generation of leaders who will change the world. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
 

Band

The mission of the Covington-Douglas Band is to make a positive difference in the lives of the band members by providing musical and visual experiences and performances and to assist them in achieving their potential as they develop confidence, cooperation, leadership, responsibility and high standards of excellence and character.
